The sun finally came out and literally dazzled me.
The tightly budded crocus rushed to open for the early bees.
The entire garden lit up.
Seeing the sunlit leaves and grass made me realise that I haven’t seen the sun for months.
Even the trees seemed to enjoy basking in the warmth with the sun on their branches.
All blooms are welcome, here, even the shy little daisies in the lawn. Who decided they should be called weeds.
The moss on the trees glowed with pleasure…
and Sam galloped with joy!
A substantial woodpigeon finally enjoyed a dry day while sitting on eggs on the world’s worst nest.
And Finally…
seeds were sown, and first vaccines received, all on a blue sky day.
Until next time, stay safe guys.xxx
Awww, it looks like Sam was happy to see the sun too. It’s amazing how blue skies and sunshine can lift your mood and spirits, isn’t it. We’re back to gloomy days again now but it was wonderful while it lasted.
Sam was overjoyed to be able to run in the sun, good weather cheers animals up too. Yes it’s cold here again but hopefully it will warm up soon. Thanks Jo.xxx
Beautiful photographs.
Lovely flowers and that moss looks amazing.
Happy March Wishes 🙂
All the best Jan
Thanks Jan, happy March to you too.xxx
Lovely blue sky again today, flowers and birds and bees all looking so joyful. And isn’t it fun to make a start on seed sowing? I’ve had my first jab too. Just think, one day we might even get to go out somewhere.
It is lovely seeing a blue sky and everything coming out. I just love the birdsong too! I really love getting those seeds in the compost. Wonderful to hear you’ve had your jab too, gosh, the thought of going somewhere! Thanks Chloris.xxx
Great images. Spring is springing?
It sure is! Thanks Peter.xxx
Wonderful! Flowers make me happy.

You and me both! Thanks Amalia.xxx
After our horrid freeze, it’s wonderful to see your flowers. It’s going to be interesting to see how we fare. I’m sure much will be slowed down, but on the other hand, there may be some surprising survivors. We’ll see.
I love that photo of Sam! He looks as happy as I felt after getting my second Covid shot this week. I had more of a reaction than with the first, but within 48 hours it was gone and I was back to normal. I heard a dove cooing tonight, and the single mockingbird who’s been coming to the feeders had a companion today. Perhaps they’re a pair; time will tell!
Oh I bet you’ll be happy to see spring flowers after that awful storm! I hear some people are still without water. Shocking! Wonderful to hear you’ve had both jabs! Lovely to hear of your feeder visitors. Thanks Linda.xxx
It has been a lovely week and I always love to see the first spring bulbs opening.
It was a lovely week wasn’t it, back to chilly here though. I’m sure it’ll warm up soon. You just can’t beat the first spring bulbs. Thanks Sue.xxx
A sunny day makes all the difference to our surroundings. It’s a lovely sight to see the crocuses and nature responding to warmer weather.
It’s astonishing how sunshine and blue skies cheer us all up. I love how quickly the crocus open at the sight of the sun and how quickly the bees find them. Thanks Linda.xxx
I love the Crocuses, and they looked beautiful in the sunshine. Good to hear you have had your first vaccine, we will have to wait a while, but not far off. A sunny day makes everything possible!
Thanks Gerrie. Oh, I do hope you get your vaccines soon. Yes a little sunshine sure goes a long way.xxx
Love those Crocuses and all that green.
Me too! Thanks Jason.xxx
Hope Wood pidge in world’s worst nest does well.
Lots of bright and beautiful flowers.
It is a relief, almost a pleasure, to have had the first vaccine dose. The process with the first jabs is well underway.
xxxx
I have my fingers crossed that that awful nest survives the winds! Oh yes, it’s just great getting the jab isn’t it, the road to freedom hopefully. Thanks Menhir.xxx
Soooo happy to hear you’ve started the vaccines! Hooray!!!!
What a lovely post. So wonderful to see all the blooms, the sloppy nest, and sweet, joyful Sam! How great to see him bounding in sunshine. 🙂
I love moss; it just fascinates me, and that is a gorgeous swath of it. Wow! And what a tidy, happy greenhouse full of promise you have! We’ll be sowing seeds soon, too, and are also enjoying gorgeous late-winter weather. Yay! Cheers to us , and to all our beloveds, and to the great wide world. Things are looking up and I won’t look beyond that, for now!
Oh, it’s fabulous having the first vaccine. Moss fascinates me too, such an ancient little plant. Here’s to you sowing seeds, it’s always a wonderful thing to do after a long winter isn’t it? Thanks Kitty. Love and hugs to you all.xxxx
Aww – what fabulous photos. And that is a disgraceful nest!! Ha ha ha xxx
Thanks Gill. It is indeed a disgraceful nest.xxx
Spring has sprung:)XXXXX
Indeedy!xxx
Sunshine makes all the difference doesn’t it? Everything looks so much better for it and it makes us humans feel so much better too! Good to hear that you have had your vaccination, hopefully we will all have had it soon.
It certainly does! I’m hoping for a bright and sunny spring. It will be marvellous when everyone is fully vaccinated, it’s difficult to even imagine normal life. Thanks Pauline.xxx
Lovely post and pictures. There have been far too few such days in recent months so let’s hope that spring makes up for it. xx
Thanks Flighty, here’s to brighter days for us all.xxx
A bit of sunshine makes such a difference doesn’t it. I was out doing some gardening on Tuesday, feeling the warmth and with a huge grin on my face. The photo of Sam says it all. You made me laugh about the pigeon nest; they really are abysmal, more like a game of Pick Up Sticks! Congratulations on the vaccination; good news indeed. xx
Oh yes, sunshine certainly is a game changer! Even the dogs are thrilled to see it. Pigeons are useless at building nests, I’m always surprised they actually hold the chicks. I am happy to have had the first jab, here’s to you getting yours. Thanks Veggiemummy.xxx
Very nice! There’s nothing like sunshine to brighten up bloom colors and vibrancy. Congrats on some blue skies!! I’m loving all the colors you’re getting now. Those leaves with the crocus look like anemone — are they? Some look like parsley 🙂
And that lime-y moss is just gorgeous. You have been busy seed sowing. Can hardly believe another growing season is upon you.
Thanks Anne. I wouldn’t mind swopping some of your blue skies for some of our rain! I think the leaves are geraniums, they spread everywhere here. This winter has seemed to last an age so I’m delighted to be sowing again. Roll on some good weather.xxx
